How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
For our ancillaries, I focused more on the poster and Meg focused more on the magazinge review. Throughout it all we did try to maintain a sense of simalarity between our, poster, magazine and short film we tried to do do this so that they all linked together in some way.
In the film, magazine review and the movie poster draft, a similar image was used in all of them. As well as the same font being used for the title of the film, and all of the products titles. They also all had a similar colour tone to them as the photos were taken directly from the film. Our combination of the main product and the ancillary texts means we have created ourselves an image for the film and it will hopefully be noted that they all link together. Also by doing this we would have created hype about the film and encourage viewers to go and see the film.

For the title in the movie and in the film poster I chose to use the same font and the same colour to keep this consistent and so the product and movie poster work together.
-
I added a line, "From the producer of the 'Tree Surgeon'" which is a line often used in movie posters to create a bigger buzz about the movie. This suggests to audience members that if they liked the previous film they would hopefully also like this production as it is fom the same producer.
-
One convention of a movie poster is having a credit block a the bottom of the poster which includes production details. So we added this too. Keeping the colour in theme with the rest of the poster.
-
A tag line is typically included in a movie poster so i added ours as 'Her Challenge is to Rise' this worked well becaue of the nature of the film as well as the film title 'Relevé meaning to rise.
-
The image chosen is from my 5 minute short film. As the production is about dance, this was an obvious image choice. Most movie posters include pictures of the cast members who are in the movie however I decided to go against this as the balet shoes were more sinificant to the film than a particular actress was.
-
A review is written in the middle of the movie poster to encourage the target audience to go and see the film, based on somebody elses opinion on the film. Again the color and font of the text is inkeeping with the rest of the film and poster.

Again the film title is the same as the title in our film and poster, keeping the consistancy.
-
To keep the audience interested in the film the 'look closer' allows audience members to know facts about the film which are not available from the movie poster or even in the film.
-
The image chosen is different to the one we used in the movie poster but it is in our film. Because the main character is in a ballet pose it still links our poster and magazine article together as well as still giving a clear idea for what our film is about.
Overall, I believe both our ancilliries work well together to create the correct impression for the film. They both show clearly how heavily the film is based on dance, and the same theme is carriedbetween the three of them. Without this from our ancilliries our film would be no good, as it would not have had the initial impact fom the ancillaries and would be very sand alone, and unimportant.
