 Draft Poster

I spent a lot of time on the poster, whilst meg spent a lot of time on the magazine. It started off with selecting the photo/s we wanted to usee, we wanted to keep the font the same on the poster as it is in the film, however as we were editing our poster on word it didnt have the font that we set it on our film so we had to cut it from our film and the remove the background. We selected two photos, one of the ballet shoes, and theother of emma in a ballet position. I made the one of her in a ballet position, 50% opaque and layed it over the top of the ballet shoes photo. Putting the title under the Emma picture but on top of the ballet shoes so that it wasnt completley white but was still clearly visible. We then added the film information to the bottom  of the poster and handed the draft in.

 Final Poster

After handing in our draft and getting feed back we wanted to change our poster, although overlapping the two photos would mean we could use to photos to show what the film is about, we felt because they were overlapped the poster was clear and lookd a bit of a muddle, so we opted to keep the ballet shoes as the whole film is based around ballet and remove emma from the poster. This meant that we had to dull the white title and we improved the tag line as we were told 'to rise' didnt give enough detail into the film.

We added information about how the producer of this film has produced other films because that is an often occurance in posters, and also adding a review. Our teacher told us we should add a rewiew that would draw people to want to watch, we actually found it hard to think of something, positive and short to say, eventually we came up with 'outstanding performance' as we felt this would draw the viewers in to want to see the 'performance'.

We chose to leave the quote in white because it is so close to the feet and we felt it stood out well. I also changed the information at the bottom of the page to white because that was the only colour that stood out properly on the wooden floor.
